Tulsa, OK
Taking place across this city’s roughly 415,000 residents, the Levitt BLOC Tulsa Music Series is a citywide collaboration among five of Tulsa’s neighborhood districts—Historic Greenwood, Route 66 Main Street, Kendall Whittier, the Phoenix District, and the Global District—each rooted in its own history and community identity. Together, these districts rotate free concerts among culturally significant sites in their neighborhoods, including B.S. Roberts Park, Hannah Hall, Howard Park, 36th Street North Event Center, and Whittier Square. Many of these spaces are undergoing resident-driven revitalization, reflecting a commitment to local ownership, visibility, and belonging.
Levitt BLOC Tulsa’s high-caliber musical performances align with public art initiatives, small business markets, and community events already shaping these areas. Through the Levitt series, a network of connected stages is further elevating local talent, supporting neighborhood entrepreneurs, and embracing public spaces as places where Tulsa’s diverse communities gather with pride.
Presented by Historic Greenwood Main Street, a Main Street nonprofit preserving and advancing the historic character and economic vitality of Tulsa’s Greenwood District, while achieving economic revitalization that is reflective of the district’s historically Black entrepreneurship. Produced in partnership with Alejandro Garcia at Tulsa Global District, Teresa Flusche at Tulsa Route 66 Main Street, Ed Sharrer at Phoenix District, Samantha Extance at the City of Tulsa.
