The Levitt AMP Waco Music Series, presented by Creative Waco, invigorates the city’s “Front Porch”—Bridge Street Plaza—that connects the commercial district of downtown Waco to the Elm Avenue corridor.

The culturally-rich yet formerly disinvested Elm Avenue corridor was a major stop on the Chitlin Circuit for Black entertainers during segregation. The Levitt AMP Waco Music Series is advancing historic pride and future aspirations of a region poised for revitalization while promoting an equitable and thriving cultural community for its nearly 139,000 residents. Concerts introduce Bridge Street Plaza as a gathering destination, celebrate the diverse musical genres central to East Waco’s identity, and amplify pride for the community’s rich cultural assets.
