The Levitt AMP Berea Music Series, presented by First Friday Berea, is fostering an inclusive creative economy in a small Appalachian town with abolitionist roots.

Since 2017, the Levitt AMP Berea Music Series has infused new life and energy into the city’s Old Town Artisan Village district. With close to 16,000 residents and home to Berea College, one of the country’s oldest racially integrated liberal arts colleges, Berea has seen the positive impact of the Levitt AMP Music Series, cultivating engaging and insightful conversations between locals and college students, creating a more unified community. Presented by First Friday Berea, the series celebrates the town’s abolitionist roots, creating an inclusive, family-friendly destination while enlivening the Berea City Park Expansion. The 2024 series continues to fuel Old Town’s economic recovery and realization as a welcoming hub for art, food and community gatherings.

Presented by First Friday Berea, a nonprofit dedicated to inspiring radical hope, encouraging camaraderie and building an enlivened community in Berea, Kentucky, in partnership with the Mountain Association.
