SHENANDOAH JUNCTION, WV

The Levitt AMP Shenandoah Junction Music Series, presented by Jefferson County Parks and Rec, is energizing an underused amphitheater to create a popular local gathering place.

Since 2020, the Levitt AMP Shenandoah Junction Music Series, presented by Jefferson County Parks and Recreation, has elevated and expanded Sam Michael’s Park’s existing concert series, bringing together people from surrounding rural communities to enjoy world-class music in the lush 130-acre park. Though Jefferson County is home to roughly 50,000 people, there are fewer than 500 who reside in Shenandoah Junction proper, making the small town a rural hotspot with the capability of a big-city performance. In 2023, the series will continue to cultivate the amphitheater, aka “the AMP,” as a welcoming music-filled destination where new friends are made, appreciation for new music flourishes, and community is strengthened.

Presented by Jefferson County Parks and Recreation, a park system that provides places and recreation opportunities for all people to gather, celebrate, contemplate and engage in activities that promote health, well-being, community and the environment.
