Austin, TX
The Drop-In, a Levitt VIBE Austin Music Series, celebrates the artists and creative spirit that continue to define the “Live Music Capital of the World.” Hosted at the Long Center for the Performing Arts—on the site of the former Palmer Municipal Auditorium—the series builds on decades of civic gatherings and performances rooted in this landmark, live entertainment location. As rapid growth and redevelopment reshape this city of 1 million people and growing, the series ensures that Austin’s musicians remain at the heart of cultural life by providing a highly visible stage where local talent can reach new audiences.
The series is set on the Long Center’s outdoor lawn, home to the world’s first 3D-printed stage, an innovative centerpiece complete with a backdrop of the downtown skyline that was designed to expand access to free, open-air performances. Featuring artists across genres including rock, R&B, Latin, hip-hop, country, pop, and soul, concerts reflect the depth and diversity of Austin’s creative community. By offering free performances in a central, scenic setting, Levitt VIBE Austin brings neighbors together, supports emerging talent, and keeps the city’s tradition of accessible live music thriving for new generations.
Presented by The Long Center for the Performing Arts, a community gathering place offering diverse live arts and entertainment programming and stunning views of the city for Austinites of all backgrounds, in partnership with KUTX: Austin NPR’s Austin Music Experience.
