Lawrenceburg, TN
With a population of roughly 11,600, Lawrenceburg is the largest city between Memphis and Chattanooga, yet it remains proudly rural in character and deeply rooted in musical heritage as the birthplace of Southern Gospel. Positioned along a cultural corridor linking Nashville and Huntsville, Alabama, the city sits near world-class talent while consistent access to live performance remains limited locally.
The Levitt AMP Lawrenceburg Music Series activates the green space at the center of the town’s historic public square with free, family-friendly concerts that welcome residents of all ages and backgrounds. Surrounded by civic buildings and walkable downtown businesses, the square becomes a visible gathering place where local artists perform alongside regional and national acts. By expanding access to high-quality music, supporting nearby businesses, and restoring the square’s role as a communal meeting ground, the series reinforces civic pride and positions downtown Lawrenceburg as a vibrant cultural stop along the region’s music corridor.
Presented by Downtown Lawrenceburg, a Main Street nonprofit committed to strengthening the vitality of the downtown commercial district while honoring the city’s rich heritage, in partnership with the City of Lawrenceburg and Lawrence County Chamber of Commerce.
Funded in part by a joint partnership between the Levitt Family Foundation and the Tennessee Entertainment Commission, with support from the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.
