Minot, ND
As a growing regional hub of roughly 47,000 longtime residents, Air Force families, and newcomers from across the globe, Minot reflects a broad range of stories and musical traditions. Citizens Alley, a newly completed public plaza in the city’s downtown, was created to transform a long-overlooked alleyway into an inviting civic space. The Levitt AMP Minot Music Series gives this new gathering place its rhythm, introducing consistent, high-quality live performances that draw residents into the heart of the city. Surrounded by small businesses and cultural institutions, the plaza now serves as a visible stage for shared experience in Minot’s historic core.
Showcasing local artists alongside touring performers, Levitt AMP Minot is expanding access to diverse genres while removing financial barriers. Consistent activation is also supporting downtown businesses and encouraging residents to return to Citizens Alley beyond concert nights. What was once a service corridor now functions as an active public space—supporting connection, creativity, and community pride in a city that continues to grow and redefine itself.
Presented by Local Motives, a nonprofit dedicated to enhancing the vitality and vibrancy of downtown Minot through creative placemaking, public art, and community-driven events, in partnership with Jazmine Shultz and Minot Area Council of the Arts (MACA).
