Montgomery, AL
In Montgomery’s Washington Park neighborhood, The King’s Canvas has been transforming a once-vacant lot into a gathering place for creativity, culture, and community life. The Levitt AMP Montgomery Music Series carries that energy forward by bringing free, live music to this space—creating opportunities for neighbors to come together in celebration and shared experience. Featuring a mix of local, regional, and national artists, the series reflects the cultural richness and resilience of Montgomery’s West Side while expanding access to high-quality live music for audiences of all ages from across this capital city of nearly 200,000.
Levitt AMP Montgomery invites families, elders, and young people to gather in a welcoming outdoor setting where music becomes a bridge across generations and backgrounds. By anchoring performances in a neighborhood-led creative space, the series highlights local talent, supports nearby businesses and vendors, and introduces visitors from across the city to the West Side’s vibrant cultural energy. Through music, storytelling, and community partnerships, the Levitt AMP Montgomery Music Series highlights Washington Park as a place where creativity thrives and neighbors connect.
Presented by The King’s Canvas Gallery and Studio, a nonprofit empowering artists and creative entrepreneurs by activating spaces and providing resources that inspire cultural expression, build community, and support economic advancement, demonstrating the importance of the arts in neighborhood transformation.
