Truth or Consequences, NM
Nestled in the Chihuahuan Desert of southern New Mexico, Truth or Consequences is a small, rural community home to nearly 6,000 residents with a strong sense of identity and pride. For generations, the city’s Ralph Edwards Park served as the heart of the community’s Fiesta celebration, commemorating the town’s historic name change in 1950. However, the eventual departure of this event for another location left the beloved park underused for years.
The Levitt AMP Truth or Consequences Music Series builds upon recent city investments—including a rebuilt gazebo, new playground, shade structures, and river access—that have revitalized the park and now transforming it into the town’s crown jewel. By offering consistent live performances, food vendors, and family-friendly programming, the series is inviting residents to reconnect with the park and with one another.
Presented by MainStreet Truth or Consequences, a Main Street nonprofit dedicated to preserving and enhancing the historic downtown area through education, historic preservation, economic development, and promotion of community pride, in partnership with the City of Truth or Consequences.
