Oceanside, CA
Home to roughly 175,000 residents, Oceanside sits at the crossroads of cultures—shaped by its proximity to the U.S.-Mexico border, the presence of the Marine Corps Base Camp at Pendleton, and the rich diversity of North County San Diego. Over the past two decades, the city’s Cultural District has grown into a thriving arts ecosystem, reflecting this blend of identities. The Levitt BLOC Oceanside Music Series builds on this momentum by presenting free concerts across selected public spaces, drawing residents from different neighborhoods into common ground through high-quality, genre-spanning performances.
By rotating events among parks that serve varied communities—including areas where access to live entertainment may be limited—the series broadens participation and introduces residents to public spaces they may not regularly visit. Concert evenings bring local and regional talent from a wide range of music genres to different corners of the city, inviting neighbors to experience new sounds alongside familiar traditions and sparking joyful connections that extend beyond the lawn.
Presented by Oceanside Cultural Arts Foundation (OCAF), a nonprofit dedicated to broadening cultural and performing arts opportunities in Oceanside and surrounding communities, in partnership with the Oceanside Library & Cultural Arts Department and Oceanside, CA Cultural District, the City of Oceanside Parks and Recreation Department, Kenneth Rexrode of Six String Society, and KOCT.
