About Levitt BLOC

The Levitt BLOC Music Series is a matching grant program for nonprofits to activate underused public spaces across multiple neighborhoods within a town or city through free outdoor concerts.

Geared to communities of any size, Levitt BLOC (Building Layers Of Community) activates different neighborhoods across a town or city by “layering” concerts in multiple public spaces during the course of a music series. Similar to Levitt AMP and Levitt VIBE, Levitt BLOC fosters social cohesion and amplifies community pride by featuring a diverse lineup ranging from acclaimed, emerging talent to seasoned, award-winning artists on the local, regional, and national circuits, ensuring access to high-caliber performances. Levitt BLOC launched as a two-year pilot program in 2023 with the Chattanooga-based nonprofit, RISE.

Applications  for the 2026-2028 grant cycle open May 1, 2025! U.S.-based nonprofits are invited to submit proposals for up to $40K/year (up to $120K/year)  to present a Levitt Music Series in 2026, 2027 and 2028.
