Case-by-Case Crisis Communications will walk you through the nuances to consider in a range of situations and help you start planning for the most likely crises your organization may encounter. In this 90-minute session, participants will explore best practices for crisis communications, and receive tools to address a range of challenging scenarios—from public safety to matters of organizational reputation, including:

• Expansion set: Opportunities and allies that can emerge from crises

Erin Hart (she/her) started Hart Strategies to put strategic communications to work for the public interest. She is a strategist, storyteller, professor and producer who’s helped build social movements, safeguard fragile habitats, diversify the health care workforce, reduce the number of U.S. smokers, and get more philanthropic dollars out of endowments and into communities. She’s built learning experiences resulting in more effective science communicators, stronger LGBTQIA+ storytellers, changing narratives on gun violence prevention and better prepared advocates advancing policy. Erin has partnered with organizations including Candid, California Wellness Foundation, Maxwell/Hanrahan Foundation, Strada Education Foundation, Stupski Foundation and more.
