Session Description

Participants learned how to enhance their team’s security awareness through tips and techniques to identify and report suspicious behavior through the ‘the power of hello.’ This session provided strategies for managing challenging situations and/or disruptive attendees. Topics discussed included how to safely de-escalate or disengage during a confrontation through active listening and empathy, remaining calm and composed, using non-verbal communication effectively, and communication protocols for requesting assistance.
