McMinnville, TN
Home to roughly 13,800 residents, McMinnville has emerged as one of Tennessee’s most dynamic small towns, shaped by years of restoration, local entrepreneurship, and community vision. At the center of this momentum sits The Lot, a 0.27-acre green space steps from historic Main Street. Once known as “The Hole,” a fenced dirt pit used for dumping, the site was reclaimed, renamed, and reimagined as a symbol of renewal. The Levitt AMP McMinnville Music Series builds on that transformation by introducing free weekly concerts that extend downtown activity into the evening, creating a steady buzz of excitement and celebration.
Featuring diverse performers and welcoming audiences of all ages, the series draws residents and visitors into a walkable district already known for its thriving local businesses. On concert evenings, The Lot fills with neighbors gathering on the lawn while nearby storefronts and food vendors see increased activity. By rooting cultural programming in this once-forgotten site, the Levitt AMP McMinnville Music Series strengthens civic pride and positions downtown as a welcoming place to gather people of all ages and backgrounds.
Presented by Main Street McMinnville, a Main Street nonprofit working to preserve, enrich, and promote McMinnville’s historic downtown as the vibrant heart of their community, in partnership with the City of McMinnville.
Funded in part by a joint partnership between the Levitt Family Foundation and the Tennessee Entertainment Commission, with support from the Tennessee Department of Economic & Community Development and the Tennessee Department of Tourist Development.
