As the 10th season of #MusicMoves comes to a close, the Levitt Foundation is thrilled to celebrate the two 2025 #MusicMoves winners, individuals hailing from St. Johnsbury, Vermont, and Flint, Michigan, as well as Carson City’s Brewery Arts Center—which received a $5,000 grant from the Foundation for inspiring the most community #MusicMoves submissions!

Since 2015, #MusicMoves has inspired thousands of Levitt audience members coast to coast to share their free concert experiences on Instagram. Throughout the past decade, we’ve witnessed the myriad ways that music moves us physically, emotionally, creatively, and collectively—from energetic videos of family and friends dancing to the music arm in arm, to selfies of volunteers and community members sharing what Levitt means to them, to moving tributes celebrating the Levitt artists who lift our spirits and spread ripples of joy across our communities.

Throughout the Levitt concert season, anyone can be part of #MusicMoves. Photos and videos posted to Instagram using the hashtag #MusicMoves are shared with Levitt community members across the country on our national #MusicMoves feed. To keep the momentum going, the Levitt Foundation selects two #MusicMoves winners from throughout the season to receive a pair of Apple AirPods Pro.

The 10th anniversary of #MusicMoves brought with it even more reasons to celebrate, as we launched a $5,000 grant opportunity for the nonprofit generating at least 50 #MusicMoves submissions.

Levitt Joy Captured by Audience Members Like You

Blue skies, lively lawns, unforgettable performances, and beloved (human and four-legged) friends—these are just some of the ingredients of the picture-perfect Levitt concerts captured by this year’s two individual #MusicMoves winners.

From Levitt AMP St. Johnsbury, Alisa Phillips-Griggs (@thegreatgriggsii) posted this photo, below, of the 150-acre scenic canine haven at Dog Mountain, as both concertgoers and furry friends alike were swept up in the lush sounds of Americana band, Adam Ezra Group.


“There’s nothing better than being at a concert enjoying the inspiringly great music of the Adam Ezra Group, surrounded by dogs, surrounded by mountains, at Dog Mountain,” shared Alisa in her winning #MusicMoves post from this past July.

Hundreds of miles away in Flint, Michigan, Wayne Wodtke (@waynewodtke) also found himself immersed in the connective experience of free outdoor concerts, posting this video, below, of fellow concertgoers grooving to the sounds of free, live music on the lawn at Levitt AMP Flint.

 

 

“Live music, blue skies and crisp air, a @zachcurtisartwork mural, my @struanstruan sweatshirt, a bunch of friends, I even danced a little… a kinda perfect night,” shared our second #MusicMoves winner, Wayne Wodtke. We couldn’t agree more!

More Than Just A Hashtag—A Community Effort!

#MusicMoves is a national movement connecting over 50 communities across the country through the Levitt mission of building community through music. This year, Levitt AMP Carson City put their community on the #MusicMoves map, receiving a $5,000 grant for inspiring the greatest number of submissions from a single community.

“Levitt AMP Carson City is excited to receive this grant from the Levitt Foundation,” said Spike McGuire, Executive Director of series nonprofit presenter, Brewery Arts Center.  “Over the last decade, music has moved our organization forward, moved our community together, and moved the needle towards connection. We love browsing photos tagged #MusicMoves because it not only showcases the impact in our community, but reminds us that we are part of a national network of changemakers.”
