Levitt AMP Twentynine Palms kicks off the second half of their inaugural concert season this Saturday, September 26. To highlight the impact of the music series so far, Coachella Valley Independent reporter, Matt King, interviewed Audrey Philpot, chair of the 29 Palms Music Committee, who led the effort of applying for the 2026-2028 Levitt grant opening.

Philpot shared that the Levitt Music Series grant application and public voting provided great momentum, excitement in the community, and a preview for the continued support to come. “There was a voting period of a week, and little Twentynine Palms, with a population of about 26,000, including the Marines, came in No. 12.,” said Philpot. “We were everywhere. If there was any event that was happening in the city, we were there with our T-shirts and our cards. We boosted the posts on social media. We did everything we could to get people to vote for us, and it worked.”

The second half of the Levitt AMP Twentynine Palms concert season will continue to bring joy and connection to community members of all ages under the high desert sky. The series runs every Saturday until October 24.
