Galva, IL
Since 2018, the Galva Arts Council has presented the Levitt AMP Galva Music Series, transforming Wiley Park from an underused, yet central green space into a dynamic hub for connectedness and self-expression, inspiring increased local engagement and collaborations that have continued beyond the music series, a reenergized volunteer base, and the construction of a permanent outdoor stage supported in part by local businesses. Home to 2,500 residents, the once shrinking town has witnessed a boom in its creative economy, drawing in new businesses and a deeper investment in the local arts. The 2024 series in Wiley Park will continue to display the town’s revitalized landscape and flourishing community of this former railroad hub.
Presented by the Galva Arts Council, Inc., a nonprofit network of volunteers dedicated to bringing together residents in and around Galva to promote and participate in the arts, in partnership with the City of Galva and Heartland Connections.
