SESSION DESCRIPTION
This workshop was designed to educate nonprofit leaders about AI and its implications for their work. With the growing discussions on equity, representation, and collaboration in AI initiatives, gaining fluency on these issues and a working knowledge of these tools is critical.
In this 90-minute workshop, we explored AI and its relevance to the nonprofit sector, explored current case studies demonstrating AI’s application in the social sector, and provided ways for participants to develop internal AI use cases tailored to their organizations.
Our goal was to demystify AI, providing practical insights into its applications while addressing justice, bias, and ethical considerations. Participants gained foundational knowledge to make informed decisions about integrating AI into their workflows, enhancing productivity, connectivity, and collaboration.
Attendees left with a clear understanding of AI’s potential impact, tools to navigate the AI ecosystem, and resources for ongoing learning. This session also introduced staff to knowledge-sharing forums to support continuous growth and collaboration.
